Bank Midwest Breaks Ground

Future Home FinalSpirit Lake, Iowa – Bank Midwest has broken ground on a new Spirit Lake building site next to the VA Clinic on the corner of Highway 71 and Royal Avenue.

The new full-service building is expected to open its doors late 2024. Once complete, the new facility will continue providing personal and business financial services for banking, mortgages, and insurance in addition to services available from Midwest Wealth Management.

“Our goal is to build a location that allows us to deliver an even higher level of service to our customers and the surrounding communities,” said Luke Donnenwerth, Market President. “I also expect the new building design and architecture will be a beautiful addition to our growing community and the Hwy 71 corridor.”

Donnenwerth added, “We’re excited about the new plan. There’s a lot of work that needs to be done, but I believe our new facility will allow us to better support the changes and growth we’re seeing throughout the Lakes region.”

Mary Kay Bates, President and CEO added, “The investment in a new Spirit Lake facility is a testament to our commitment to customers, community, and the over 30 Bank Midwest employee-owners who call this area home. As a community bank, it also demonstrates our long-term commitment to innovating and building for future generations.”
